Screenplay Submissions

What are we looking for?

"If you build it, they will come."  We want to read screenplays that have been lovingly developed - each word and character mulled-over with something important to say about the human condition.  That can be a funny story, a heart-wrenching one, otherworldly or take us on a cinematic ride.    If you have a great script, and it's as good as you can make it, then we may want to read it.

Should you just send the script to us?

Unsolicited Screenplays

One of the challenges for producers in reading screenplays from strangers is that if your idea is too similar to something the producer already has in development (or something the producer decides to do in the future), it can result in a feeling like the producer "stole your idea."  First of all, we would never steal someone's screenplay because it's illegal and unethical, but it also doesn't make any sense.  If you wrote a great screenplay, it should be registered and protected under copyright laws.   If we can discover new talent, that's what we would like to do!

If you'd like to send us the screenplay, we would ask that you send us a short summary of the story before the script.  We're movie fans too, so we'll simply look at your idea and ask ourselves "Is this a movie we want to see?"   If we connect with the idea, or think it has potential, and we feel we can help move it ahead, we'll ask you to sign a customary "release" protecting you and us.
